First Steps Early Head Start Home Visitation Program: weekly home visitation program that offers and coordinates family-directed services to encourage success in school and life. Includes EHS Toy Van visits and family socializations.
First Steps Parents as Teachers Home Visitation Program: monthly home visitation program to provide parents with child development knowledge and parenting support. Home visitors provide research-based information and age appropriate activities. Screening services are provided that aid in the early detection of developmental delays & health issues and also support parents with transitions to kindergarten.
PIPE – Partners in Parenting Education: A 15-week teen parenting class that focuses on enhancing the emotional bond between teen parents and their baby. Parents learn how to read their baby’s cues, as well as identify their own and their baby’s temperament along with other enriching activities. Teen parents with children birth to 36 months attend the classes with their baby. Childcare and snacks are provided at each class.
Bright Beginnings Program: provides support information to new parents and gives them a free bag of valuable materials appropriate for age level.
Child Health Passport Program: is a system for giving parents information about their child’s health and development, as well as alerting parents to early childhood services for their children birth to age 5. The Passport Companion Folder includes: a Passport User Guide describing all of the new Passport features, the book, “What To Do When Your Child Gets Sick,” Growth and Development cards from the Colorado Department of Public Health and provides a single and convenient place to store your child’s health records for the first five years, such as copies of your child’s well child check-ups, immunizations, developmental screenings, growth charts, etc.
Family Center Play Groups: Baby and Toddler playgroups every Tuesday & Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00
Car Seat Checkpoint: child car seat checks conducted every Thursday from 2:00-4:00, child car seats are also available for those families in need.
