Homeless & Emergency Shelter: The Chayah House shelter is a safe haven for the homeless in Fremont County. Chayah House serves as a temporary shelter with 22 beds, private showers, and laundry facilities. We serve 3 meals per day and are staffed by house parents.
Clothing Warehouse: Everything in the warehouse has been donated and is given away free of charge to anyone who has a need. There is a large selection of clothing for all ages. Furniture, household items, and appliances are available. Items are examined to ensure they are usable before they are placed in the shopping area.
Food Bank: Families and individuals can receive one food box a month. Boxes are based on family size and contain enough food to feed a family for at least three days. Staples, which consist of dry beans, rice, flour and pasta, are available weekly. Bread, produce, and dairy products are distributed whenever available.
Transitional Housing: Housing assistance and supportive services are provided to help families and individuals move from homelessness to housing stability and self-sufficiency. Typical supportive services include: Case Management, Education, Job Training, Life Skills Classes, Financial Counseling, Substance Abuse Treatment and Mental Health Services.
Financial Assistance: Financial assistance is provided for individuals needing help with prescription drugs, in-state bus tickets, or gasoline. Payment is made through the use of a voucher directly to local vendors.
New Creations Inn: A transitional housing program through Loaves and Fishes Ministries and offers: housing, life skill classes, support, assistance with employment and meals.
